Abstract
Rhabdomyolysis is an acute and potentially fatal syndrome and the release of muscular content into the systemic circulation may cause acute kidney injury. Skeletal muscle destruction developed by causes such as crush syndrome, muscle compressions, status epilepticus can cause rhabdomyolysis. This syndrome can also develop after excessive exertion. We report two interesting exertional rhabdomyolysis cases in this paper.
